INCUBATION & START-UP

Start-up India: The campaign was first announced by Prime Minister of India in his address on 15 August 2015 from the Red Fort. This initiative aims at fostering entrepreneurship and promoting innovation by creating an ecosystem that is conducive for growth of Start-ups. The objective is that India must become a nation of job creators instead of being a nation of job seekers. The Prime Minister of India formally launched the initiative on January 16, 2016 from Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi.

In the context of “Make in India” & “Start-up India” concept, the IED cell also established an Incubation Centre at MIT Group of Institutes to facilitate incubation of new enterprises with innovative product and technologies and providing physical, technical and networking supports and services to prospective entrepreneurs.

Objectives
  • To facilitate a center for the development of products and innovations which will be working efficiently even after institute timings.
  • To encourage the students to target national and international Competitions and win such events.
  • To have seminars from renowned personalities frequently without disturbing the institute infrastructure and curricular activities.
  • To develop solutions for industrial problems so that the institute industry interaction strengthens which would create more placement opportunities.
  • To attract and encourage more and more student skill development programmes through MoUs with academic institutions and industries.
