Entrepreneurship is increasingly recognized as an important driver of economic growth of the country. Even Government of India has recognized the importance of entrepreneurship and introduced programs like “Make in India”, "Skill India” & “Start-up India”.
With the holistic intention of inculcating entrepreneurship skills among the students, MIT Group of Institutes has established an Innovation & Entrepreneurship Development Cell (IED Cell) inaugurated by honorable chief guest Dr. Ravindra Pastaur, Commissioner Ujjain District on 29th March 2016.
The IED Cell provides a platform for the students to pursue entrepreneurial activities and also provide assistance to potential entrepreneurs. The prime goal of IED Cell is to inspire and guide start-ups & to foster an entrepreneurial culture in the campus of MIT Group of Institutes. The IED Cell is committed to assisting students in every stage of the lifecycle of an enterprise – right from inspiration, ideation and initiation, to incubation, investments and internationalization for both mainstream innovations as well as ventures around social innovation and sustainability.
To inculcate the entrepreneurial spirit among the students with a focus on innovative ideas of national / international importance and societal needs. We continually strive to create an entrepreneurial ecosystem to provide the platform for creative and intellectual students with potential for substantial business opportunities.
To facilitate the students to become entrepreneurs by developing novel technologies & concepts catering to current market demands and achieve success in initiating and developing their own enterprises.
The IED Cell is committed to assisting students in every stage of the lifecycle of an enterprise – right from inspiration, ideation and initiation, to incubation, investments and internationalization for both mainstream innovations as well as ventures around social innovation and sustainability.
IED Cell at MIT Group of Institutes is having an organized structure with expert and dedicated team of actively working faculties who have an industry exposure along with student representatives. To execute the entire institute’s plan, a parallel team has been created where students involve themselves by participating through E-Cell. In any academic entrepreneurial ecosystem E-Cell is formed and managed by students with the objectives of sensitization, conversion and developing connectivity with local level ecosystem.

This initiative aims at fostering entrepreneurship and promoting innovation by creating an ecosystem that is conducive for growth of Start-ups. The objective is that India must become a nation of job creators instead of being a nation of job seekers. The Prime Minister of India formally launched the initiative on January 16, 2016 from Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi.
In the context of “Make in India” & “Start-up India” concept, the IED cell also established an Incubation Centre at MIT Group of Institutes to facilitate incubation of new enterprises with innovative product and technologies and providing physical, technical and networking supports and services to prospective entrepreneurs.
