MIT Group of Institutes, Ujjain

In order to develop two way communications with the industry the institute started Ujjain Management Association (UMA), an association of entrepreneurs and management fraternity. UMA is developed for keeping in view the mutual benefit to management students and industry professionals. Under the banner of UMA lectures and workshops are arranged for the students and industry people.

The purpose of the cell is to develop individuals across socio economic backgrounds, who have the courage to dream, the drive to make a difference, the ability to believe in themselves and the persistence to convert their thoughts into action. The cell works to prepare a pool of next generation entrepreneurs who, through their dreams and action.

Develop the capabilities of self employment among the students. Use their knowledge and skills fullest for their own venture. Establish their identity and can able to generate jobs for others. Rejuvenate the traditional family business in to modern business.

The region of Ujjain is under developed terms of industrialization, there are not many good paying jobs available for the fresher management graduates. There are many students who want to start their own business in their cities and villages. The establishment of cell facilitates them to learn the art of doing business. There are many students who had traditional family business and the cell help them rejuvenate their business into modern business. The programs are designed in such a way that students get exposure in various fields and different business functions.

The guest lecture and Workshops conducted by the EDP Cell is to emphasize on to create an awareness, need and importance of Entrepreneurship as career option among students. Students get first hand experiences form the successful entrepreneurs of the region. The basic theme of the lecture is to aware students about how to start a business and educate them about all key aspects one needs to consider before starting a business. Create awareness for using IT as the key input for generating self employment rural industry and marketing of agricultural products.

Identification of the Resource Person

The faculty members of the cell prepare a schedule of the activities of each semester. A searching of the probable resource person is done. After finalization of the orator the program is conducted.

Formation of Ujjain Management Association
