Courses offered by MIT

Electronics Engineering is an Engineering discipline which uses the scientific knowledge of the behavior and effects of electrons to develop components, devices, systems, or equipment. Electronics engineers typically possess an academic degree with a major in Electronic Engineering. The duration of course for this degree is four years and on completion 'Bachelor of Engineering' degree is awarded
Electrical & Electronics Engineering is a field of engineering that generally deals with the study and application of electricity, electronics and electromagnetism. It covers a range of subtopics including power, electronics, control systems, signal processing and telecommunications. Electrical engineers possess an academic degree with a major in Electrical Engineering. The duration of course for this degree is four years and on completion 'Bachelor of Engineering' degree is awarded.
Information Technology (IT) is "the study, design, development, implementation, support or management of computer-based information systems, particularly software applications and computer hardware", according to the Information Technology Association of America (ITAA). IT deals with the use of electronic computers and computer software to convert, store, protect process, transmit, and securely retrieve information.
Computer science or computing science (sometimes abbreviated CS) is the study of the theoretical foundations of information and computation, and of practical techniques for their implementation and application in computer systems. It is frequently described as the systematic study of algorithmic processes that creates, describes, and transforms information. Computer science has many subfields; such as computer graphics, emphasize the computation of specific results, while others, such as computational complexity theory, study the properties of computational problems. Still others focus on the challenges in implementing computations.
Mechanical Engineering is an engineering discipline that was developed from the application of principles from physics and materials science. According to the American Heritage Dictionary, it is the branch of engineering that encompasses the generation and application of heat and mechanical power and the design, production, and use of machines and tools. It is one of the oldest and broadest Engineering disciplines.
Civil Engineering is a Professional Engineering discipline that deals with the design, construction and maintenance of the physical and naturally built environment, including works such as bridges, roads, canals, dams and buildings. It is traditionally broken into several sub-disciplines including Environmental Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Structural Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Municipal or Urban Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, Materials Engineering, Coastal Engineering, Surveying and Construction Engineering. Civil engineering takes place on all levels: in the Public Sector ranging from Municipal to Federal levels, and in the Private Sector ranging from individual homeowners to international companies.
This program provides a sound theoretical background and excellent practical exposure to the students in these areas. It covers many aspects of algorithm design and optimization, programming, computational theory, network and database management, mathematics, probability, accounting, finance, statistics, mobile technologies etc.
In our day-to-day life pharmacists play important role, as they are very much into research and manufacture of drugs. As a pharmacist, one has to comprehend the composition and effect of drugs. Thus, pharmacy is closely associated with scientific study. This course of pharmacy aims to develop an understanding of how the body works, the effects of disease, how drugs are made, delivered to and affect the body and, importantly, how to ensure that patients get the maximum benefit from medicines with the minimum incidence of side effects. B.Pharm. degree is a good launching pad for higher studies. It provides the basic qualification for Master's degree in different specializations of Pharmacy.

B.Sc. (Computer Science)

B.Sc. (Hons.) Computer Science or Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Computer Science is an undergraduate Computer Science course. Computer science or computing science is the study of the theoretical foundations of information and computation and of practical techniques for their implementation and application in computer systems. B.Sc. (Hons.) Computer Science is generally three academic year course and it may be provided on part time basis by certain institutes. The syllabus for the course is divided into three parts and it is valuable and job orienting in nature which offers a lot of career opportunities to the candidates after its completion.

(B. Com (Honours)

The Bachelor in Commerce intends to prepare students for their career in Accounting profession. It aims to develop requisite knowledge, skills, and attitudes in them to meet the challenges of the accounting, auditing, taxation, legal and BFSI sector domains. The endeavour of the programme will be to develop skills focused in accounting. The programme will focus equally on theoretical and practical aspects of the above mentioned domains, promote an attitude of life-long learning among them and preparing them as a professional. On successful completion of the three years, a degree of Bachelors in Commerce (Honours) [B.Com. (Hons.)] is awarded to the student. The medium of Instructions of the programme is English.
